We played together for ten years, as Break a Leg, with our own sound, just voice, saxophone/clarinet and guitar, and our own way of bringing out something special in the songs we choose. We never copy other performances.

These days we focus much more on our own songs and the stories they tell, as well as our own versions of some classic songs from the 20th Century. So at the start of 2024 we made a fresh start with a new name and new focus.

Harlan Howard described country music as ‘three chords and the truth’. We don’t play country music and we definitely use more than three chords but we believe in true feelings and true meanings in music, whether we are telling stories or pumping up the fun.

We run a monthly event at a great music venue, Nether Edge Bowling Club in Sheffield (the Grand Ol’ Bowling Club). It’s an acoustic music fundraiser for local charities and the focus is on quality of music-making in a proper cabaret setting, showcasing some of the excellent musicians in our part of the world to an enthusiastic listening audience, as well as giving us a chance to play regularly for our friends.

And of course we will be very pleased to play for you if the time and place are right.
